How it works

whatatake keeps takes about the future on the record: who said it, when, and how it aged.

Log a take

Write it however you'd say it, or paste a link. We draft the details for you to check.

A take can be yours, a friend's or someone public's. You choose its reach: only you, a group, anyone with the link, or everyone. Takes can't be edited once logged.

Share it

Every take gets a permanent page with a link you can share. When a take quotes a post, we keep a copy, so the take survives the post being deleted.

Your public takes are also listed on your profile and on Explore.

Record the verdict

A take can carry a date or a condition. When the date arrives, we email you to record what happened. The verdict is permanent, and anyone following the take gets it by email.

An open-ended take has no deadline and no verdict. It stands as recorded.
